As of June 2025, Moko Alor is the newest dive resort in Alor and it’s already proving to be a fantastic option for both divers and non-divers. From the moment you arrive, you’re treated like family. That warmth begins right at the airport, where the resort manager greets you personally, setting the tone with genuine hospitality and a friendly smile. The resort offers a range of room categories suited for singles, couples, friends, and families. Rooms at the front of the property offer sweeping views of the beach, pool, and ocean, while rooms toward the back overlook a beautifully manicured garden with partial sea views. All rooms are tastefully decorated with local Alornese artwork, creating a cozy, welcoming space to call home during your stay. Meals are served family-style in the restaurant and are consistently flavorful and satisfying. The dive operation is smooth and hands-off for guests. Your gear is managed entirely by the dive staff, allowing you to focus on the fun. The house reef is just a short swim from the beach and is extensive enough that it can’t be fully explored in just one or two dives. Dive boats are spacious, with sturdy ladders that make getting back onto the boat effortless. Thanks to Moko’s central location, most dive sites are only about 15 minutes away. For those interested in a bit of local culture, Moko Alor is conveniently close to town and the weekly market, making it easy to explore beyond the resort. Moko Alor is a great choice for families, culture-curious travelers, and divers who enjoy a mix of beach and boat diving—all wrapped in heartfelt local hospitality.
